其实这个toastmaster 的主要目的是帮助大家练习在公众面前演讲以及怎么和人交流，虽然进去的时候水平不同，但是大家都很友好，互利互助，气氛很不错。mm如果觉得自己“英语很broken”， 不妨事先找些英语问候的句子练习练习，到开会的时候就不会那么紧张，刚开始可能有点像背诵，一会儿就好了。我们这儿一位退休的法语老师，前主席，开会之前都会根据每个人的特点事先考虑一下如何打招呼，聊什么，让我很佩服，人家可是大师级人物呢，每次他做演讲我们都不去争那个最佳了。真的是学无止境阿。
现在就知道一些皮毛 (e.g. 不要经常用被动语态 （包括 there is/are ））

Ding! I also like repeating over the radio (talk show and news, national public radio is a good station) when I drove the car. Trying to mimic native speakers' intonation is very helpful! They can understand you much asier if your intonation is good.
My hubby's accent reduction training teacher suggested us to speak English at home (not only superfical talking, need discussion in more depth to help improving our English). So we now try to do it 2 or 3 times a week.
Recording and comparing should also work. I will start doing it soon!
